We are excited that you have decided to apply to Verde Valley School. Please complete the Standard Application. If you have any questions throughout the application process we are always happy to assist you.  We encourage you to read this entire page before proceeding to the SAO application.  If you need assistance with the SAO application, please contact the SAO Family Support Team at (609) 683-4440 or info@ssat.org.

A Few Things to Note

Below are a few things you should know before starting your application:

  • VVS has rolling admissions. This means that although we do have priority due dates, we will accept applications throughout the year.
  • VVS accepts the Standard Application Online (SAO) All applicants must complete the Start the Application form above.
  • Financial Aid decisions are separate from acceptance decisions and are subject to the priority due dates. Seldom is financial aid available after these dates. See the Tuition & Financial Aid page for more information.
  • You may visit campus anytime throughout the application process or even before you start the application. We are happy to show you our beautiful campus and introduce your to our community.

  • Step One - Request Information

    If you would like more information before starting an application please fill out the short Request for Information form here

    If you know you will be applying you can skip this step and start with Step Two.
  • Step Two - Start Application

    Click here to start your application to VVS by completing the Standard Application Online.
    If you are applying to multiple schools that accept the Standard Application Online (SAO) we are happy to accept this application after completing the Ready to Apply form above. Click here to be taken to the SSAT site for further instructions.
  • Step Three - Schedule Interview and Campus Visit

    If you’re able to travel to Sedona, we invite you to spend some time with us on campus – it’s a great way to see what your life at VVS would be like and we can do the interview while you are here.
    However, we do understand that a visit isn't always an option and will gladly schedule a Skype interview.

  • Step Four - Ensure Application is Complete

    A completed application includes:

    • Student and family information
    • Completed essays
    • School transcripts
    • English teacher recommendation
    • Math teacher recommendation
    • Principal or counselor recommendation
    • Application fee ($50)
    • Interview and Campus Visit (Zoom if applicant can’t interview on campus)
    Additional Testing Requirement:

    • The SSAT is encouraged but not required. VVS School Code is 7930
    • International students entering with English as a second language are strongly encouraged to submit a TOEFL score. School Code is 8818 
  • Step Five - Decision

    We email decision letters on or before March 10  to all applicants who meet the February 15 priority application deadline.  Rolling admission applicants will receive decisions two weeks after the application is complete. Once you receive your acceptance letter you’ll have some thinking to do. The Admission Team and the VVS student you toured with are here to help you in making that decision. Priority admission replies are expected on or before April 10, and rolling admission applicant replies are expected two weeks after you’ve received your acceptance letter.

Application Deadlines

Early Action:  November 30th with enrollment decision returned in January

Standard Deadline - January 31st with an enrollment decision returned in March

Rolling Applications accepted until all spaces are filled.
